Mayday.ai is proud to announce that Mayday AI / Guardian Space has been selected as one of the finalist teams advancing to the final round of the XPRIZE Wildfire Space-Based Detection & Intelligence track.
The XPRIZE Wildfire independent Judging Panel selected 11 teams to advance to the final round following semifinal technical verification. The semifinal testing challenged teams to accurately and precisely detect and characterize target fires using historical fire data, while minimizing false positives during 12-hour testing windows.
Mayday AI / Guardian Space was also named among the milestone awardee teams, recognized for distinct data analytic capabilities demonstrated during semifinal testing. The XPRIZE announcement highlighted the role of advanced wildfire analytics, Earth Observation data processing, satellite intelligence, deep learning, large language models, and real-time monitoring approaches in helping communities better prepare for natural disasters.
For Mayday.ai, this recognition represents an important validation of its mission to deliver real-time wildfire detection and disaster intelligence through artificial intelligence, satellite data, and multi-source data fusion.
