The German National Copernicus Forum is an annual event organised by the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) which brings together the national and international earth observation scene, particularly those involved into Copernicus services.
Mayday, which extends the value of Copernicus, exhibited at the conference its unique innovations – the global wildfire and flooding products, as well as its complementary offer of community-centric hubs, covering 21 disaster types.
It also participated in a number of invitation-only sessions dedicated to public use cases. Together with its partners, Mayday talked about the Urban Green Eye project focusing on prevention of urban heat islands (UHI) – a project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport and the German and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), and it involves some ten German cities as pilot partners. An extended version of the application will also be made available globally via our platform.
