In October 2024, Mayday.ai joined the MAGNITUDE project, a large-scale earthquake response exercise held in southwest Germany. Led by the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg, the exercise brought together cross-border teams from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, and France, along with representatives from other observer countries, to strengthen disaster response and civil security collaboration across Europe.
As part of the EU Civil Security Consortium—which includes CGI, @FIRE, BIBA, JOLA, AnsuR, and Guardian Space—and in partnership with ESA’s Civil Security from Space initiative, Mayday.ai demonstrated its real-time risk and intelligence platform. The platform showcased advanced capabilities in earthquake monitoring, wildfire detection, flood response, and extreme weather tracking, using Earth observation data and AI-driven analytics to support rapid, informed decision-making during the exercise.
Mayday.ai’s involvement highlighted its commitment to advancing European disaster resilience and readiness through collaborative technology solutions.
